UPDATED: Two roads on the outskirts of Wootton remain closed this afternoon (Friday) following a road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to Combley Road shortly after 11:00 following reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.
Two appliances from Newport Fire Station raced to the scene alongside paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police.
A motorcyclist is understood to have been underneath the vehicle following the collision, however was not trapped. No serious injuries have been sustained.
Police have closed Combley Road and Gravel Pit Road (connecting with Briddlesford Road) whilst the incident is dealt with.
Motorists are advised to travel via The Downs Road as an alternative route. Festival traffic is not effected.
UPDATE @ 13:40 – Both roads have now reopened, according to Island Roads.
