Police have closed a major through road to Bembridge this evening following a two car collision.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 22:00 after receiving reports that two vehicles had collided on Sandown Road between Yaverland and Bembridge near to Culver Down.
Island Echo understands at least one person has been rushed to hospital under blue lights.
Southern Vectis Route 8 is diverting via Brading and Carpenter’s Road, St Helen’s.
