UPDATED: Two vehicles have collided head-on in Bembridge this afternoon (Thursday) resulting in a main through road becoming blocked.
Emergency services are currently in attendance on Kings Road, Bembridge where a silver Subaru and a green Seat have collided near to The Pilot Boat Inn pub.
The incident occurred at just before 14:15.
No one has been seriously injured in the incident, however the road is currently closed in both directions whilst recovery of the vehicles is arranged.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, diverting via Brading and Yaverland. Southern Vectis Route 8 buses are currently on diversion.
UPDATE @ 15:50 – Island Roads have cleared debris and spillage from the carriageway and the vehicles have now been recovered by Stag Lane Motors.
The road remains closed for the time being.
