UPDATED: Appley Road in Ryde is blocked in both directions this morning (Friday) following a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle.
Police are currently attending the incident near to Grasmere Avenue, where a Honda Civic – driven by a female – has collided with a wall lining the carriageway, blocking the road. It is understood a tyre blew.
No one has been injured in the incident and no other vehicles have been involved.
Southern Vectis Route 8 buses are currently delayed. Traffic is being diverted locally.
UPDATE @ 10:50 – Stag Lane Motors have recovered the vehicle and the road has now reopened.
