The regeneration and neighbourhoods policy and scrutiny meeting scheduled by the Isle of Wight Council to take place tonight (Thursday) has been postponed to a future date to be confirmed.
The council said the decision had been taken as a precautionary measure as members of the committee were self-isolating due to COVID.
The legal provision for public council meetings to be held online was not renewed by the government. Therefore, as with other council meetings, policy and scrutiny meetings must by law be held in person.
The meeting will be rescheduled.
ANYONE isolating without symptoms can simply take a LFtest!always a feeble excuse now a days
feeble excuse and as for not meeting online – that is just so that all MP’s and councillors can claim meeting expenses, which they cannot claim at home.
