40 Westridge Golf Club members took to the course in very windy conditions for Westridge’s final Monthly Major of 2024: the December Trophy.
Despite the weather the course was in great condition, with Reg Miller and Roger Merrifield finding it very much to their liking. Carding a very respectable 56 net to win by one shot. Father and son combo, Chris and Lewis Chambers were second with a 57, from Ian Couse and Pete Holton two shots further back with a 59.

League Cup
The last Monthly Major at Westridge saw the conclusion of the 2024 League Cup, with points awarded for the top 10 in each competition.
With 2 wins and an all round strong season, Mark Royl clinched the title with 37pts. No wins but a very consistent season, including 2 seconds, was Philip Spreckley 28pts and late mover, winning the penultimate event, was Darren Abbott 3rd 26pts.
Whittaker Bowl
With the last event being cancelled due to the extreme weather, Jacky Cook clinched the title with 69pts, consistency the cornerstone of her success.
The Ladies Order of Merit for the 2024 season and keenly fought competition, long time leader, Nikki Glasgow finished 3rd with 57pts. Founder Helen Whittaker, always a contender for the Trophy in her name, took second place with 61pts.
