UPDATED: RED JET SUSPENDED AS SOLE BOAT SUFFERS STEERING FAULT

Red Funnel has suspended its hi-speed Red Jet service between West Cowes – Southampton this afternoon (Thursday) due to a mechanical breakdown. The service is operating with just 1 boat this week, which has now suffered a steering fault. It means that Red Jet 6 has been pulled from operations resulting in the entire service grinding to a halt. The suspension of service is until further notice. The cross-Solent operator apologises for the inconvenience caused to your journey. UPDATE @ 14:45 – Service will resume from Southampton at 15:00 and East Cowes at 15:35.
