The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has performed a patient medivac from Shanklin this afternoon (Friday).
The assistance of the vital charity service was requested by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service for an unwell patient, who is understood to have been suffering from cardiac problems.
The now Yellow and Red helicopter landed at The County Ground off of Green Lane just before 14:40, taking off again less than 20 minutes later.
Island Echo understand the patient has been transferred to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, Portsmouth.
This latest medivac comes as the second this week following the transfer of a patient from Ryde to Salisbury
