2 Isle of Wight accommodation providers have been announced among the 100 winners of VisitEngland’s annual ROSE Award.
The ROSE Awards recognise just 100 accommodation providers across England who give visitors the best customer experience.
They celebrate the establishments, irrespective of their star rating, style or type of accommodation, where the owners, management and employees provide world-class service to their visitors.
This year, both the Dairy Barn in Wroxall and Inglewood Guest House in Sandown have won the awards.
The Dairy Barn describes itself as a luxury 5-star converted barn located on a 950 acre working Aberdeen Angus beef farm while Inglewood Guest House is a deceptively large Victorian house built around 1900.
Both businesses were presented their awards at a ceremony on Tuesday (5th September) at Great Fosters Hotel in Egham.
Justine and Jon Frankis from the Inglewood Guest House were there to collect the award.

Justine said:
“We are delighted to receive this award which recognises our hard work, and we are grateful to all our guests past and present who continue to support us.”
Michael Poland from the Dairy Barn in Wroxall added his thanks to his guests and the team at Dairy Barn:
“I am delighted that we have won this award because it reflects the excellent service provided by our Property Manager, Sally, and the whole team. It gives myself and my wife such pleasure in receiving the high praise from our guests which often exceeds their highest expectations.
“We would like to say a big thank you to Sally and to everyone behind the scenes for their dedication in providing such a wonderful experience for our guests to stay at the Dairy Barn.”
Will Myles, MD at Visit Isle of Wight said:
“Congratulations to the Dairy Barn at Wroxall and Inglewood Guest House at Sandown.
To win this award from VisitEngland is a testament to the hard work and effort that they have put in to ensuring that their guests receive the very best Isle of Wight welcome!”
VisitEngland Advisory Board Member Nadine Thomson said:
“The ROSE Awards celebrate and champion the accommodation businesses across England who go above and beyond in their customer service to guarantee visitors have amazing experiences.
“There truly is a place to stay to suit all tastes and budgets in England and these awards also highlight the exceptional variety on offer.
“From our wonderful English inns and pubs with rooms, to glamping, camping and farm-stays in beautiful countryside and coastal locations. From traditional B&Bs and self-catering cottages to luxury boutique accommodation, there really is something for everyone.”
The ROSE Award winners were nominated by VisitEngland’s quality scheme assessors and selected from assessor comments and online feedback from overseas and domestic visitors.

The award recipients include all types of accommodation from B&Bs/guesthouses, self-catering and hotels to parks, campsites, glamping sites and hostels and cover a range of ratings from 3 to 5 stars, as well as accredited properties.
In 2022, The Mill House at Brighstone received the VisitEngland ROSE Award.
