PRESIDENT’S FROLIC KICK STARTS LADIES’ GOLF ASSOCIATION 2024 SEASON

The Isle of Wight Ladies’ Golf Association kicked off their new golfing season at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club on Monday (11th March) with the President’s Frolic. Association President Lynne Maidment hosted the event, which included the starting of the Texas Scramble competition consisting of 76 players in teams of 4. Taking 1st place carding 25.5 were Sammi Keen (Freshwater), Christine O’Brien (Shanklin & Sandown), Cate White (Newport) and Gill Robinson (Osborne). Sue Cox (Ryde), Christine Smith (Shanklin & Sandown), Kate Craig (Newport) and Maureen Little (Newport) took 2nd place with 26 on count-back from Louise Jensen (Shanklin & Sandown), Sara Weech (Ryde), Philippa Warren (Shanklin & Sandown) and Claire Matejowsky (Westridge) in 3rd.
