Premier MG, part of Premier Motors, became the only MG new vehicle supplier for the Isle of Wight at the start of the month and is now proudly the main MG dealer for the Island.
Premier Motors opened their MG showroom in March 2021 following redevelopment of their Riverway Newport premises. As part of the MG Motors family, Premier MG have registered over 180 new MG’s since taking on the franchise, during what can only be described as an extremely challenging time for all businesses, including the motor trade.
Premier MG has also got over 65 vehicles on order with MG, several of these being advance customer orders for the All-New MG 4 EV, which has only just arrived at their Newport showroom.
With increased sales, great used MG vehicles, a dedicated MG sales, service and parts team, combined with MG also planning to update every model in its product line by 2024, and to be a fully electric brand by 2027, these are very exciting times for MG & Premier MG.
David Ryde, Premier Motors Managing Director, has said:
“We are extremely proud to be the sole supplier of new MG vehicles on the Island.
“We have been impressed by the quality of the products, and the excellent value they represent- especially the electric range, which is evident in the growth of MG In the UK over the last few years.
“The fantastic all new electric MG4 family car will bring electric car ownership to many more car owners. Due to it starting from only £25,990 and boasting up to 281-mile range, this undercuts and outperforms its competitors significantly, the MG4 will be a gamechanger in electric cars.
“As MG celebrate their 100-year centenary in 2023, joining them will be Premier Ford, celebrating our 100 years as a Ford Dealership.
“I and our Team are most excited for our future with MG Motors.”

If it were not for the motability scheme
I wonder how many cars they would have sold.
Indeed, the motabiliy scheme is being used to push the electric car agenda now, no sane person would buy one of the useless objects out of their own money.
another nail in the coffin for Westridge Garage ?
No MG, No Mitsubishi ,
Skoda to stay or go ?
Mitsubishi no longer in the european area and Skoda off to Esplanade i believe. 65 orders all motability i would say
How can MG be 100yrs old?

Has nothing to do with these Chinese imports??
Very true, these are just cheap Chinese imports.
The real MG ended in 2005 when they went into
Receivership.
Chinese rubbish, nothing to do with the real brand
