UPDATED: Residents in the PO30 and PO38 regions are without power this morning (Tuesday) following a network outage that is affecting 60 postcode areas.
Shortly after 07:00 electricity supply was lost to hundreds of homes primarily in the Rookley area, but also in areas of Newport, Godshill and Ventnor.
Engineers are working to resolve the issue and it is hoped power will be restored to affected customers by 10:30.

UPDATE @ 10:10 – Power has been restored to the large majority of customers, however residents and businesses in the PO30 3BZ, PO30 3DA and PO30 3DD postcode areas remain without power, which should be restored by midday.
