UPDATED: Around 65 properties in the Ashey area of Ryde are without electricity this evening (Wednesday).
A spokesperson for Southern and Scottish Electric told IslandEcho that residents and businesses in the area were taken off of the power network at 21:35 to allow for essential repairs to the overhead network in the area.
It is hoped that power will return to those affected by midnight as engineers work to resolve the issue.
SSE apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank customers for their patience.
UPDATE @ 08:46 – SSE have this morning confirmed that power has been successfully restored to the area.
