Hullabaloo – a popular community event – that is held in Sandown, has announced that they are to take a break this year with it hoped the event can return in 2024.
Free to attend and hosted at Browns Golf Course on Culver Parade, Shademakers UK and The Common Space were those responsible for the event.
It was estimated that around a couple thousand people visited the event when it was last held back in October where numerous activities and events were showcased including the popular discovery bay.
Supported by a strong army of volunteers, the difficult decision was made so that the event organisers can look for some more long-ter funding hoping to secure the event for future iterations.
On their Facebook page, organisers at Hullbaloo have said:
“We have taken the difficult decision to pause this year’s event. We are a volunteer-led team who cares passionately about this free family event and the positive impact it has on the community of Sandown. We want to spend the year developing the event and exploring longer-term funding options to give Hullabaloo a sustainable future. We will be reaching out to the community, and listening to your views of how we can improve Hullabaloo and make it even better for our return.”
