UPDATED: The National Police Air Support helicopter is this evening (Thursday) circling the Sandown area.
Island Echo readers are reporting the blue and yellow helicopter from Bournemouth is flying low and in circles around the seaside town.
It is currently unknown what has led to the Police response. Initial reports indicated Sandown Train Station had been cordoned off, however has since reopened.
UPDATE @ 19:25 – The incident has been brought to a close this evening.
It has been confirmed Police were searching for a person after concerns for welfare were raised.
The person has since been located safe and well.
