POLICE HELICOPTER CALLED IN FOLLOWING WROXALL INCIDENT

policevanruralMultiple Police units and the National Police Air Service helicopter descended on Wroxall earlier this afternoon (Saturday) after a number of properties were damaged.

Windows on houses and cars have been smashed in the Cleavelands Road area, with reports of a possible robbery having taken place also.

Police responded to the area shortly before 14:00.

One male has been arrested and taken to Newport Police Station for questioning following a search of the old railway line area. He was discovered in a rear garden.
