A cyclist was injured when they came off their bike on a fast stretch of road in Ryde yesterday afternoon (Sunday), with Police appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Emergency services were called to Bullen Road at 15:51 to reports that a female cyclist had become injured after coming off her bike.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service deployed an ambulance crew and an operational commander to the scene, where they tended to the casualty – a woman in her 40s.
She was soon conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital for further treatment. Her injuries are not described as life-threatening.
Bullen Road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
