The driver of a Ford has ploughed into a parked BMW, shunting it forwards into a lamp post, on a main road in East Cowes this morning (Wednesday). Police and paramedics are currently in attendance at the 2-car crash on Victoria Grove, between Mayfield Road and Lodgeside. Island Echo understands that the Ford B-Max collided with the BMW 5-series, which in turn forced the German motor into a lamp post, at just before 10:30. Paramedics from St John Ambulance, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, are tending to those involved with the assistance of a critical care paramedic. The road remains passable to light traffic only meaning Southern Vectis Route 5 buses are diverting via York Avenue until further notice.
