A whole host of rising stars took to the Hard Rock Stage today (Saturday) with stunning acoustic sets and high energy performances.
PINS, Paves, Wild Front and Apollo Junction were amongst those who kept crowds firmly on their feet throughout the day ahead of tonight’s superstar Main Stage headliners Arcade Fire.
Atlas Moon were first up, introduced by Hard Rock’s host, MTV News and Heat Radio presenter James Barr. They kicked off day 2’s festivities with spacey acoustic vibes. Luca Firth was up next, who took to the stage under bright blue skies bringing a mix of original material and covers including Blackstreet’s ‘No Diggity’ and The Smiths’ ‘Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want’. The Novatones delivered a stomping set, which set the mood for a rockin’ afternoon.
Judas, My Girl The River and the ethereal Paradisia followed, with Apollo Junction quite literally getting out amongst the festivalgoers ensuring everyone was on their feet. The Wholls continued to keep crowds revved up with incredible tunes, rounded off with a thumping cover of the Gossip’s ‘Standing In The Way Of Control’.
South coast locals, four-piece band Wild Front tore it up as the evening’s proceedings got well underway. Paves and November Lights rocked the stage as the sun set on Seaclose Park, before Hard Rock’s Saturday night headliners, Manchester’s PINS gave an unforgettable performance brimming with girl power, closing the Hard Rock Stage in show-stopping style.
The music continues tomorrow through until Sunday night.
