UPDATED: The occupant of a car involved in a road traffic collision near Arreton has become trapped in the wreckage this lunchtime (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11:45 following a two-car collision between a Ford Focus and a Toyota Yaris.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are en-route to the incident.
UPDATE @ 12:40 – The occupant of the silver Yaris, believed to be the driver, has not required extrication from the vehicle and the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have stood down.
The occupants of the black Focus have escaped injury and the vehicle has been moved to a nearby car park.
The road, which was partially closed for a short period, has fully reopened in both directions.
Bartletts Service Station are recovering the vehicles.
