A pensioner has been arrested and taken into custody following a disturbance at an address on a quiet residential street in Ryde this morning (Sunday). Police were made aware of a domestic incident at an address on Partlands Avenue, Swanmore at just before 11:00. Officers were mobilised to the scene, with 2 police cars and a van arriving outside the address. It’s been confirmed that a 75-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault. He remained in custody earlier this afternoon. UPDATE ON MONDAY – Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have confirmed that the male involved has been released without charge.
