VIDEO: PENNY MORDAUNT CALLS ON ISLANDERS TO RETURN BOB SEELY TO PARLIAMENT

Senior Conservative Party member, Penny Mordaunt, is backing Bob Seely in his campaign to be returned to parliament as MP for Isle of Wight West on 4th July. Penny, who herself is standing for re-election in Portsmouth North, has held a string of senior ministerial positions within the party, her most recent position being Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons – which she has held since September 2022. Many will also remember Penny for her role in the coronation of King Charles III where she carried the sword of state in the procession into Westminter Abbey. In a video posted on Bob Seely’s Facebook page, Penny said she wanted to send a message to many people on the Isle of Wight asking them to support Bob Seely on Thursday. She has described Bob as an ‘amazing champion for the Island’ and hailed his service background and his knowledge on international affairs. Penny, who is a Royal Navy Reservist, said:

“Bob is someone that will be known to all of you. He’s been an amazing champion for the Island, but he’s also done a huge amount of good for many things around the world. “He’s got a huge background of service, he’s dedicated his life to the service of this nation, and he is a real authority on international affairs and has done so much good for our country and the world and he’ll be a strong voice for you in parliament.”

She added why she believed Bob was the best person to represent the voice of Islanders in Westminster…

Article continues below this advertisement

“[Bob’s] working hard to keep your taxes low, he’s working hard to get investment into the Island, and he has worked so hard to improve public services, particularly on healthcare. He’s a good man – you know he is – and I hope you return him to parliament.”

Reacting to the video, Bob has said:

“I hold Penny in very high regard, so her kind endorsement is received with huge thanks. “Penny knows the Island – we have been working together on a plan to get more dentists to Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. “I wish her all the best in her campaign for re-election in Portsmouth North.”

We have to see the real and growing problem in this country, so vote Reform, because if Labour or the Conservatives have no challenger politicians, then the problem will grow ever larger.

Farage was caught lying on question time. Twice.

First, he said he’d send migrants straight back to France. Lie. Cannot be done without the French allowing it

Second, he said the UK was the 4th largest exporter in the world. Lie. That is only true if gold is included and therefore not manufacturing exports. Without counting gold we are 6th. Farage had been called out on this before.

Farage is a liar. He lies constantly.

Farage speaks his mind, others tell you want they think you wish to hear. Big difference. Vote Reform or watch Europe and its people degenerate as it already has in every area that mass immigration has occurred, or do you think it is all mere coincidence.

OR, more fitting do you ‘think’ for yourself at all?

“working together on a plan to get more dentists to Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight”
Would that be like the plan to get £48M to Pompey and IW NHS, which was largely snaffled by Portsmouth?
What Mordaunt wants is suckers who will back her for leader. Like … guess who?

Two words sum my answer up and the second one is “off” Why should anyone vote for this good for nothing so called MP who has done NOTHING for the island. He just welcomes this and that UNTIL the election is called, then he jumps in with a load ideas that should of been done years ago. This is the man who voted to pollute the sea around the island and voted against clean air too. It’s true, take a read of this. Don’t vote this loser in again.

Well all the dole poncers will because the torys keep them giving more and more free hand outs to spend on swill/smacking all day, along with a free house, all the rich and the better off will who are not being affected by the hard ship to ordinary people, and all the councillors and all their croney mates will because they are all guaranteed a massive pension and they won’t get the goal posts moved like we do. None of the others are worth the trip to voting station, where at you will be ordered to identify yourself by the fascists, when it is our right to vote anon

You’re going to get higher taxes whoever you vote for. Even Reform’s plan to cream off bank of England interest rates as it will mean perpetual sky-high mortgages and rents.

Note left by Labour to the Tories in 2010 – “There’s no money left, but the NHS is in very good shape and the national debt is reasonable.

Note to be left by Tories to Labour in 2024 – “There’s no money left, the NHS is trashed and the national debt is sky high”.

I know which one I prefer.

Well done Bob, hope you retain your seat. I can’t think of any one better to represent the island in parliament. You have proven time and time again that your working for the people, for instance tackling the ferry providers, taking them to task over reliability and extortionate fares, you must remember that they are private companies and are able to run their business as they please. The money that has been given to the island which would not be here if it wasn’t for Bob! Just be careful who you vote for as things could get worse under a new government.
By the way!! I am old enough to remember when labour sent our soldiers to a war in Libya to get killed for a pack of lies.

A voice of reason which unfortunately in this day and age just gets shouted down by mob mentality.

Divide and conquer, the WEF are doing a brilliant job.

The problem is not which party to vote for, it is making sure your not voting for this particular candidate who dosen’t even live here.

All I see is 2 people trying desperately to keep hold of their tax payer funded jobs. With abit of luck both Penny and Bob will be jobless by this time next week.

He didn’t like it when I told him I’d be voting reform after he door stepped me last week, then during a debate which got quite heated, he forgot my name, really, the man is a desperate walking insult to common sense. Stomped off down my driveway like a petulant child after being told no.
VOTE REFORM!!

A vote for Bob Seeley will always be preferable to a vote for the far right fascist party Deform.

Was it Labour that brought in that you have to pay care home fees when you are not well enough to look after yourself?
Remember Tony Blair and Weapons of Mass Destruction?

Of course, every one forgets it was Blair under Labour who totally killed dentistry in this country.

Can’t get a dentist, just look it up and see what Blair did ….

Yet you can’t tell us what he supposedly did.
Btw, T.Blair isn’t standing.

No supposedly about it…Blair doesn’t have to stand, he is a puppet master for Starmer.

Then in 2006, they introduced a new dental contract, and the result – like the new contracts for GPs and hospital consultants – was a disaster.
Under the old system, dentists were paid for the work that they did.
Under the new one, they are paid a fixed fee of around £80,000 a year for achieving so many Units of Dental Activity.
This Stalinist approach has failed completely.

How about finding the answers yourself? Fyi, Tony Blair is not standing in this election. and he wouldn’t win. He wouldn’t be supported by the current Labour Party.

Unfortunately the Tory government have done nothing to improve the quality of life for Islanders since being in power and something needs to change. Across the board standards have dropped drastically – the Council, Public Services, lots of people willing to take but give little in return. I can’t see things improving with Labour so my vote is going to Reform – they’re not perfect but they may be the kick up the backside that the country needs?

Tried to get an appointment at / turn up to his bi-weekly surgery last July.. they did not appear to be running. I finally got through in October.. I was left wondering if he took the summer off.. aren’t MP’s supposed to hold surgeries and meet the people every other week to represent us? Isn’t that the reason Parliament is in recess over the summer? Was he AWOL (like Penny Mordaunt according to Lord Frost)?

When the person who delivered the leaflet through my door told me it was a collection and not a political leaflet it showed me how far the lies run within the conservative party. The fact that half a sausage Houdini appeared like magic the other day on my road and only knocked on one door says it all, they are toast and they know it. I don’t care how other people vote that is their business, but i will not vote for the parties who have run this country for the last few generations and turned it into the dump it has become.
