UPDATED: Police and ambulance crews are this evening attending a two car road traffic collision in Ryde.
St Johns Road has been partially closed following the incident between a Renault Clio and a Land Rover Discovery shortly before 17:40.
Police officers are currently diverting traffic via Bennett Street and Daniel Street while both vehicles are recovered from the scene.
IslandEcho understand the white Discovery pulled out from a junction, colliding with the passenger side of the small Renault hatchback.
Ambulance crews have taken at least one person to hospital, it is understood.
UPDATE: Both vehicles have been recovered from the scene and the road has reopened.
