Cowes Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society members were hard at work this week putting the finishing touches to rehearsals for this year’s Pantomime, Cinderella, which will be performed at Trinity Theatre in Cowes in early December.
Written and created by Musical Director Luke Mulhern, Cinderella is a traditional fun family Panto with a 4 piece live band at the front of the stage.
Speaking ahead of opening night, Luke has said:
“We’ve had great fun bringing Cinderella to life in reahearsals. We’re excited now to share this joy and humour with our audiences. Forget the World Cup for a day, come along and enjoy some traditional festive fun!”
Edna Crosbie, President of CAODS, adds:
“This has been a huge effort by the whole team at Trinity, the set is fantastic, the costumes colourful and the props are amazing! Luke and has excelled with the show and it is clear for all to see how much the cast and crew are enjoying themselves – the essence of a good Panto!”
Performances are being held this week on Friday 2nd at 19:30, Saturday 3rd at 14:30 and Sunday 4th at 14:30. Further performances are scheduled for Friday 9th at 19:30, Saturday 10th at 14:30 and Sunday 11th at 14:30.

I thought Pantomime was band incase it upset other cultures?….from memory I think it was Britain’s native far left that imposed it…or was it nativity plays?however I don’t think it was immigrants that wanted to change British culture…
