Pallance Lane in Northwood has been closed this afternoon (Wednesday) to enable Southern Water to carry out emergency repairs to a collapsed pipe.
The lane has been closed from its junction with Pallance Road to its junction with Wyatts Lane, for a distance of 148 metres.
The collapsed pipe is outside a property called Sunnyside.
The diversion will be via Pallance Road and Wyatts Lane in both directions.
The Diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
The closure went into force at 14:00 hours on 20th May 2020 and will remain in place for a maximum period of five days or until works are completed, whichever is sooner.
