UPDATED: One person is reported to be trapped in their vehicle following a three car collision in Shanklin.
Emergency services including the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are currently attending the incident on Downland View at the junction with Landguard Manor Road, Shanklin where three vehicles have been involved in a road traffic incident.
UPDATE @ 14:05 – Fire crews have now left the scene after it was discovered the incident was not as serious as first feared.
A Gold Renault Clio, a Black Renault Twingo and a third car all collided on Landguard Manor Road at the junction with Downland View.
The road remains open and recovery of the vehicles has been arranged.
No one is believed to have been seriously injured, despite initial reports to emergency services of one person being trapped.
