UPDATED: Crews from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are currently working to free a disabled person trapped inside their vehicle following a road traffic collision on Military Road near to Brighstone.
Island Echo understands that an elderly couple have been involved in the incident, which has resulted in a red Peugeot 106 leaving the carriageway and coming to rest in a field.
Emergency services are on the scene of the collision, which happened shortly before 13:15 this lunchtime.
UPDATE @ 13:55 – Fire crews have been stood down from the incident, which left a female passenger with minor arm injuries.
A Skoda Fabia was also involved in the collision.
