Firefighters are this evening (Thusday) cutting free a person from their vehicle following a four car collision on The Downs.
Emergency services are currently on the scene near to Knighton where four vehicles have collided resulting in one person becoming trapped.
A Renault Laguna, a VW van, a Kia and a VW Golf have been involved in the incident, however no one is believed to have been seriously injured.
The road has been closed in both directions. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Traffic is said to be busy on Rowlands Lane between The Downs and Havenstreet.
UPDATED @ 20:00 – The incident has been cleared and the road has reopened.
