The third running of the Lady Captain’s Trophy took place at Westridge Golf Club at the weekend (14th/15th June).
The reigning champion and co-club captain found herself placed midfield after the 1st day, as Shelagh Merrifield made the running with 20pts, 3 ahead of Louise Webb and the inaugural winner Ondy Warrick well placed on 16pts.
It was the top 3 who pushed on Day 2, with Louise, Shelagh and Ondy all shooting under par. It was Ondy though who came out on top scoring 22pts for a total of 38pts to pip Shelagh, whose 18pts, also totaled 38pts, missing out only on countback. Louise scored 19pts to finish on 36pts for third place.
