The Older Persons Good Living Show will return to the Isle of Wight next month, with organisers promising a ‘bigger and better’ event after a successful launch in 2023. The free event, to be held at Sandown Airport on August 17 from 10:00 to 16:00, is tailored to older adults, with exhibitors showcasing products and services designed to improve their wellbeing and increase their independence. Over 300 visitors attended last year’s show to seek expert advice on how they can continue living happily, independently and safely in their own homes. Vicky and Paul Butler, Owners of Right at Home Isle of Wight, which provides quality services to older and disabled adults living on the island, have spent 10 months planning the 2024 event. Vicky and Paul said:
“The Older Persons Good Living Show was such a success in 2023 that we didn’t think we would be able to pull off a better event. However, we think that this year’s event will be bigger and better,” “We’ve more stall holders, which means more ways to stay living independently in your own homes. We have a bigger, more accessible new location with ample car parking. This year also sees the introduction of the raffle with prizes donated from island businesses. I guarantee that you will find something that will help you or someone you know to live more independently at home.”
The show will feature hourly workshops, over 30 exhibitors, live music, food and a raffle to end the day. Prizes to be won include:
