40 years of Niton Scottish Country Dance Club have been celebrated with dancing and a high tea in Shanklin.
Members marked the milestone anniversary at the Brunswick Hotel, accompanied by the Craigellachie Scottish Country Dance Band.
Dancers filled the hotel with the sounds of Scotland as they took to the floor for an afternoon of traditional Scottish country dancing.
Club secretary Pam Babington, one of 2 original members still involved, paid tribute to Joan Stoneman, who founded the club in 1986 with just 6 people at Niton Village Hall.
The club has since grown to 42 members, providing a lasting legacy to its founder.
Pam also thanked musicians Ian and Judith Muir, who paused their international band engagements to play for the special anniversary celebration.
Their playing proved a hit with those taking part, with dancers commenting that their feet felt lighter as they moved around the floor.
Dance leader Janette Baxter put together a programme of dances for the occasion, which concluded with the traditional Auld Lang Syne.
Members ended the celebrations looking forward to many more successful years for Niton Scottish Country Dance Club.
