A dramatic Play-off decided the 2024 Westridge Ladies Scratch Championship when – after 36 Holes of competition – overnight leader Helen Whittaker and Nikki Glasgow could not be separated, forcing a sudden death play-off. 2 good tee shots potentially saw Nikki in the best position, with Helen to play first. A fair chip just wouldn’t stop, just slipping off the green. Nikki held her nerve and played a good chip to leave a makeable putt. An even better chip from Helen kept her in the hole. And when Nikki just missed her par putt, Helen had a chance to force another hole. But the putt lipped out, and Nikki made her 18 inch put to seal her first title. It was a bit more straightforward in the Handicap Competition. Yas Wright had set herself up well on day 1, with the only under par round day of 62 from Jas Royl and Louise Webb. The 2nd day saw an even better round by Yas – a 7 under 59 – to take the title as well as 3rd in the scratch. Reigning Champion Sally Hardy battled her way back to finish 2nd, with Louise Webb clinching 3rd.
