UPDATED: Lifeboat crewmen have come to the rescue of an angling boat off the Bembridge coastline this evening (Monday).
Bembridge RNLI’s Inshore Lifeboat has launched to assist a 13ft open angling boat that has broken down not far from the lifeboat station.
The small boat, which has one person on board, is currently being been towed around the coast to Bembridge Harbour.
No injuries have been sustained.
UPDATE @ 20:55 – The fishing boat has been successfully towed to the safety of Bembridge Harbour.
The lifeboat has been rehoused, bringing the incident to an end.
