Newport Footpath 208, Cycle Track from Newport to Wootton from its junction with Halberry Lane to its junction with Footpath N118 for a distance of 502.00 metres.
Emergency Closure due to flooding of Cycle Track.
The diversion will affect these streets: Mews Lane, Fairlee Road & Halberry Lane.
Diversion route(s) will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
From 00:00 hours on 3rd February 2021, for a maximum period of twenty-one days or until the path has been reopened, whichever is sooner.

N208 is a footpath and not a cycle track.
It was published a short while ago that the council was applying to upgrade this footpath into a cycle track as well as using it to extend the Ryde to Newport Rail link.
That section of the path is very muddy whenever it rains and i believe has standing water often.
