Newport-based Edison’s Electrical is celebrating a whole year in business.
The family-run firm on Grays Walk, off Scarrotts Lane, sells a wide range of electrical products including switches and sockets, tools, extension leads, adaptors and much more.
Bright spark Gordon Bush has over 25 years trade experience helping domestic and business customers with projects of all sizes. He specialises in low-energy LED Lighting.
Gordon and his wife Roz are community focussed; Edison’s is sponsoring Cowes Sports FC goalkeeper Ed Hatt for a 3rd season and have recently agreed to sponsor an electrical student at The Isle of Wight College by providing their tools for this year’s course.
Edison’s is currently running a prize draw and has launched a bonus scheme to reward their loyal customers.
Gordon said:
“We have a lot planned for our anniversary mostly centred around thanking people in town who have been so welcoming and supportive.
“It is great to feel part of Newport where business owners are working together to improve the town”.

Anyone who can make a living now in shops is amazing when the net provides more choice and instantly comparable price monitoring.
I wish them well, as personal advice and knowledge is so useful with electrical items.
Yes indeed, shops like Edisons and Livewire Electric (appliances) in Orchard Street, Newport are incredibly helpful giving old fashion style service. The council would do well to develop Newport as a centre for independant shops and stop attracting mainland chains who leg it as soon as it gets a bit tough.
cracking shop been in there a few times and some of the prices are cheaper than toolstation
Great asset to Newport
