Ryde’s Her Whey zero waste shop is on the move and its current premises could become a new tattoo studio. Cross Street’s Her Whey is taking over a new shop in Ryde – though it hasn’t yet been revealed where. Meanwhile, plans have been submitted to the Isle of Wight Council to officially change the use of its current location. Behind the proposals is tattoo artist, Laura Drivina, who is currently based round the corner, at Isaku Aesthetics on Ryde High Street. Planning documents say the 10:00-17:00 shop hours would add to the mix of local commercial businesses. New signs are proposed, along with internal decoration and a fit-out, but no major changes are expected. You can view the plans, 24/00230/FUL, on the Isle of Wight Council’s website. Comments can be submitted until 15th March.

Great news for those on benefits to have another place to get there tattoos
Oh dear another who thinks benefits cover even the smallest of tattoos?….Google the price for a bog standard tattoo “dare you” then google a single persons employment benefits as you are clearly a reader of The Daily Fail and believe as gospel everything you read from their “ hallowed”?pages..if you can’t think of anything original to write don’t bother you just look like a womble and not the cute furry kind!.
Well, that’s another place to mar peoples skin for all time. Their money, their choice. Pity , but I think a woman looks better without ANY tattoos but that’s my thoughts. Others may agree others won’t?
Benefits for tattoo? Do you know how much a tattoo is? Benefit wouldn’t c9ver the price.
Do you know how much benefits are these days.? It is incredible what they can receive. Plus they get extra if it gets a bit cold, no rent or council tax to pay either.
These people are loaded. Next time you see a post on facebook asking where the local food bank is or ‘my 4 year old daughter has just lost her purse, it had all her Christmas money in it, fuming’ or where can I get a screen fixed on my Apple iPhone 20 ~ have a look at the profile of these people. They will be in a housing association property, covered in tattoos with photos of their latest holiday to Spain.
In forty years time there will only be faded blue people living on this planet and every house will be painted blue.
Does anyone on here actually know what people can get monthly on benefits (I know it varies depending on what benefits you are on, but ball park)? I’m genuinely interested as I just don’t know, I’m sure it’s too much but does anyone have any figures?
Maximum benefit paid is twenty five thousand a year, so there are families on that amount.
£500 a week may not sound much, but if a child or you has certain benefits you can also have your water bill capped plus other advantages.
If you were hard working and in private rent or a mortgage and earning £500 a week you would be paying rent/mortgage plus council tax and full bills so you would be worse off than someone getting the same amount from benefits.
I have read many times about people who give up work and have a child because by living on benefits they will no longer be struggling to survive.
It may seem harsh to judge, but do as I suggested next time you see a post asking for help, you’ll be amazed at how luxurious they are.
We are now living in a country that looks after

The workers and pensioners are being shafted.
£500 per week = £2000 per month TAX FREE, which is more than a very high percentage of the working population take home. After all the free breaks for rent, water, council tax, etc., they can be receiving the equivalent of over £40,000 per year. Makes me bloody fuming. This country is a disgrace for rewarding idleness and this is under a Tory government! Can you imagine how much money Labour will throw at them to produce more of their half-wit idle spawn? I am sick of paying for these scumbags.

Correct. I see woman and men who had tattoos in the seventies. There are tattooed grannies walking the streets now and it looks dreadful. Bet they wish they hadn’t done it? ‘Tramp Stamp’. Girls… Don’t do it?
Tattoos are great if you are a sailor because they can help to identify your corpse after a shipwreck; otherwise, they make you look stupid. The best tattoos used to come in packets with chewing gum because they washed off after you get bored of them, which usually took about 5 minutes.

Was about to comment about cost of living,! seems that those winging have no money when on benefits?,just been passed a nail bar in Newport and was full, surely there is more of a priority than having nail’s done and then sitting at home until Uber eats brings you’re takeaway, bet they all had contract phones as well as Prime,Sky,Netflix etc . Government needs to do some investigation, benefits are for surviving and basics like food, fuel etc shouldn’t be allowed to spend other hardworking low income tax payers money. Next government whoever they be will be getting tough.
Most of the people that whinge about the fact they don’t have enough money and the Government doesn’t care, are better off perhaps than those who comment here.. Me included as a retired pensioner that is still stuck with a lifetime mortgage.

Nige, I think these people have mental health issues, certainly a problem with their body image. Perhaps they think that covering their body with tattoos makes them look more attractive but a lot of this ‘art’ looks like scar tissue at a distance. Some women apparently think that sticking metal all over their face makes them look lovely. What’s that all about?
