While many businesses are reopening after lockdown restrictions forced them to close, those who have been furloughed have had the chance to reflect on their future careers.
The personal care sector has been one of the hardest hit over the last 18 months. Despite these challenges, a new business specialising in unique skincare treatments has launched.
Elizabeth Milton Skincare Clinic at Languard Manor in Shanklin is inviting local residents to experience advanced skincare treatments designed for anti-aging, skin lifting, and tightening.
The skincare clinic provides bespoke facials, waxing and tinting and dermaplaning services.
Elizabeth Milton, owner of the skin care clinic reflected on the last year:
“After working for 20 years in the skincare sector, and 10 years locally, I felt the time was right to set up my own business. The last year has been challenging for everybody. However, the time between lockdowns gave me a chance to reflect on what I wanted. Starting a new business in a sector I love was at the top of my to do list.
“I’m now welcoming returning and new clients into the skincare linic for the first time which is a great feeling.”
The skincare clinic opened its doors for the first time on Monday 12 April when personal care businesses could resume service.
Gina Newsham who is a returning client spoke about her experience:
“I’ve been visiting Elizabeth Milton for the last few years for facial treatments. I’m absolutely thrilled she has now opened her own skincare clinic.”
