A new digital display showing train and bus times in the area has been installed in Shanklin.
The screen has been erected on the exterior wall of Shanklin’s Performing Arts Centre by South Western Railway, thanks to SWR’s Customer and Communities Improvement Fund.
Funding was successfully awarded in 2019 but it’s only now that the digital information screen has been installed and switched on at Victoria Avenue.
The screen is enabled to show both bus and train times fed from links to the railway systems and real-time bus data.
In the future, local community news and information will be added, including updates on the progress of the Performing Arts Centre.
