The Isle of Wight Festival has today (Thursday) added Brooke Combe, CMAT, Jamie Webster, Joesef, LF System, Lottery Winners, Lovejoy, Peter Hook & the Light, Plastic Mermaids and Sabrina Carpenter to the stellar 2023 line-up.
They join headliners Pulp, George Ezra, The Chemical Brothers and Robbie Williams to kickstart this year’s festival season in style.
Breakthrough production duo LF System, who topped the UK chart with single ‘Afraid To Feel’, will make their Isle of Wight Festival debut on Thursday on the Big Top stage. US popstar Sabrina
Carpenter will also bring her much-loved pop hits, including viral track ‘Nonsense’, across the pond and Scottish indie-pop singer-songwriter Joesef will also perform tracks from his debut album
‘Permanent Damage’, which was released earlier this year.
Edinburgh-born singer-songwriter Brooke Combe, who went viral with her rendition of the unofficial Scottish anthem ‘Yes Sir I Can Boogie’, also joins the line-up. Liverpool cultural figure and indie rock singer Jamie Webster will also be playing on the island for the very first time. Brighton rock band Lovejoy will open the Big Top on Sunday.
Also confirmed to perform across the weekend are Island natives Plastic Mermaids, who have previously graced the stage at the Kashmir Cafe. Indie newcomers Lottery Winners, Irish singer-songwriter CMAT and Peter Hook & the Light, led by iconic Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook, also join the line-up.
Other artists already announced to play across the weekend include headliners Pulp, George Ezra, The Chemical Brothers and Robbie Williams (UK festival exclusive), as well as Blondie, Niall Horan, Sugababes, N-Dubz, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Anne-Marie, Sam Ryder, FLO, James Bay and more.
This year’s fancy dress theme was also revealed as ‘Gods and Goddesses’ and fans are encouraged to draw inspiration from fictional, mythical or real life to create their costumes. Head to Strawberry Fields at 14:00 on Saturday 17th June, where the best dressed will be crowned.
