Naturezones’ has launched its 2027 Wight Wildlife Calendar Photography Competition, inviting amateur photographers across the Isle of Wight to submit their best images of local wildlife and wild places.
Now in its fourth year, the popular competition will see the winning images featured in the Naturezones’ 2027 calendar, with a first prize of £100 up for grabs.
Previous calendars produced by Naturezones’ in 2024, 2025 and 2026 have collectively raised nearly £3,000 which was used to support holiday clubs and primary school education visits.
This year’s competition is seeking images that celebrate both Wight wildlife and the Island’s wild places, encouraging local photographers to capture the natural beauty found across the Isle of Wight.
All photographs submitted to the competition will be published in the calendar, either on the main pages or on the back cover. A total of 13 images will be selected by public vote to feature across the main pages of the 2027 edition.
To enter, photographs must be taken on the Isle of Wight and must not have been previously published. Only 1 entry per person is permitted.
Images must be mounted or framed in A4 landscape format, with the entrant’s name and contact details on the back.
Entries should be delivered to Naturezones on 7th May, 19th May or 10th May between 11:00 and 15:00.
Photographs will then form part of the Isle of Wight Nature Photography Exhibition, with winners decided by popular vote during June.
