The Christmas Mixed Foursomes at Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club was played on Sunday 5th December in very cold and windy conditions.
22 teams took to the course, many wearing festive garb, and all vying for the much-prized cups.
On the 9th hole, the players were reinvigorated with a very much welcome glass of mulled wine and mince pies.
The winners were Roy Truman and Christine O’Brien with 39 points. Taking 2nd place was the Club Captain Bill Foss and the Ladies’ Captain Connie Huntington with 37 points. 3rd, with 35 points, were husband and wife team David and Ronnie Hirst.
