A popular eatery in Cowes has announced it will close next month with those in charge of the business deciding not to renew its lease following 8 years of trading.
Harbour Kitchen, located on High Street, will serve its final customers on Saturday 15th February.
Owners Brian and Caroline said the decision had not been taken lightly, with renewing the lease requiring a further 10-year commitment.
In a message shared with customers, Brian and Caroline have said:
“We’ve come to the tough decision not to renew our lease.
“It’s been a wonderful 8 years and we couldn’t have done it without our loyal customers, fantastic staff, family and the local businesses who have supported us.”
While Harbour Kitchen, which is well-known for its award winning burgers, will be closing its doors, the owners have hinted the business may return in a different format in the future.
The business has a fleet of street food vans that are often seen at events and functions.
Brian and Caroline have added:
“You might just see Harbour Kitchen on the road popping up in the future.
“We hope to see you before our last day of service.”

Doesn’t surprise me, constant road works are
finishing off businesses in Cowes, so sad.
Unless one has too, who would go to Cowes
at the moment,
