UPDATED: A motorcyclist has ploughed through a stone wall and into a parked car in Whitwell this evening (Monday).
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are attending to the rider, who has been thrown into the air and over a hedge after crashing at the junction of Southford Lane and Whitwell Road.
Police are in attendance and the road has been closed.
UPDATE: The motorcycle rider has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital by land ambulance, however the extent of his injuries are unknown.
The road has since reopened.
