UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police are attending a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a van at Whiterails Road in Wootton this lunchtime (Tuesday).
Emergency services are currently attending to a male who has collided into the rear of a van outside Wootton Business Park and Butterfly World.
Island Echo understands the man has sustained suspected leg injuries in the smash, which comes just hours after another motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash in Cowes.
Southern Vectis Route 9 buses are diverting via Fairlee Road until further notice.
The road has been closed.
UPDATE – 1 person has been conveyed to hospital this afternoon, although they are not thought to have sustained any serious, life-threatening injuries.
The road has now re-opened in both directions.
