Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a serious collision involving a motorcyclist near Brook late last night (Wednesday), which has left a man with 2 broken legs and a broken pelvis.
Emergency services were called just before 22:00 to a report of a single vehicle collision on the B3399 Brook Road, where a black motorcycle had left the carriageway, as first reported by Island Echo.
The rider, a man in his 20s from Freshwater, suffered serious injuries and was flown to Southampton General Hospital by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
He has sustained limb-threatening injuries, including a broken pelvis, 2 broken legs and broken ribs.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or the motorcyclist in the moments leading up to the collision. In particular, officers would like to speak to anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
