UPDATED: Another yellow severe weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for tonight (Tuesday) and throughout tomorrow.
The heavy rain has once again moved in across the Isle of Wight for the second day running, however the weather warning issued by forecasters does not come into force until 21:00 tonight and is valid until 18:00 Wednesday evening.
Islanders are being warned about outbreaks of persistent and heavy rain overnight and into tomorrow morning. Due to rainfall accumulations, flooding is possible warn the Met Office.
Lightning may also be an additional hazard.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY @ 11:20 – The Met Office have removed the Isle of Wight from their weather warning, with conditions set to improve as the afternoon progresses.
Sandown Illuminated Carnival is still due to go ahead as planned at 20:30.
