UPDATED: The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog across the Isle of Wight and the South of England, which could lead to some cross-Solent delays tomorrow (Wednesday).
Patches of fog are expected to develop throughout this evening and overnight and will become more widespread by Wednesday morning.
Islanders are warned that driving conditions will be difficult with journeys likely to take longer than usual. Where fog does form, visibility could fall below 100m.
The fog will thin out throughout tomorrow and the warning is due to be lifted at midday.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY – A second fog warning has been put in place, valid from 17:00 this evening until midday tomorrow.
