MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A REDUCED NEWS SERVICE FROM ISLAND ECHO

As the big day approaches, the Island Echo team is taking some time to relax, recharge and enjoy the festive period and we will therefore be operating a reduced news service until Wednesday 28th December.

2016 has been another successful year for the Island’s news source with a growing readership of over 110,000 unique visitors a month, a brand new website and expanding coverage of all things Isle of Wight.

Our first, fast and free 24/7 news service remains popular with Islanders and we are confident that this will continue to be the case in 2017. The new year will bring about exciting changes to Island Echo as a whole and readers can anticipate more news than ever before.

A reduced news service is in operation from 16:00 on Friday 23rd December until 09:00 on Wednesday 28th December. The Island Echo website will remain live and fully functional throughout this period, however, we will not be publishing our usual amount of stories. On Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day our news service will be reserved strictly for major/serious incidents only.

Emails and social networks will be monitored very lightly throughout our reduced service period and our telephone line (01983 898288) will not be monitored, although voicemails can be left. You are advised to email [email protected] instead.

Don’t forget you can check out our ‘Light up the Wight’ Christmas lights tour guide at www.islandecho.co.uk/xmaslights.

We would like to wish all of our readers, advertisers and supporting businesses a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
