The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance carried out a patient medivac from Simeon Street Recreation Ground this morning (Sunday).
Locals gathered in the park to see the distinctive yellow helicopter land to transfer a patient from an awaiting ambulance to a mainland hospital, shortly before 11:30.
The HIOWAA assists the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service by taking seriously ill patients to specialist hospitals in the Hampshire region, normally patients suffering from cardiac related illness.
