A major milestone for East Cowes will be marked next week with the official opening of the town’s brand new skatepark on Thursday 13th November at 12:00.
Designed and built by specialist contractors Betongpark Ltd with the support of local volunteers, the new East Cowes Skatepark represents a major investment in youth and community facilities — fully funded by East Cowes Town Council.
Following extensive public consultation, including input from local skaters, Wight Trash skate shop, and residents, the final design has been brought to life as a modern, inclusive space welcoming skateboarders, BMX riders and scooter users of all ages and abilities.
The skatepark will be officially opened by the Mayor, Councillor Tracy Reardon, and attended by representatives from Betongpark Ltd, members of the Town Council, volunteers, local skaters and invited press.
